PATRICIA GARRETT
SENIOR CONSULTANT, CPCU

Pat began her career working as an agency New Business Marketing Manager and Managed the in-house Underwriting Department.
She moved to Marsh & McLennan in 1990 as an Assistant Vice President and Account Executive and has worked in many areas since then.

She worked in their Dallas Office where she was promoted to Vice President  and worked as a Senior Broker.  She also contributed to constructing Marsh's first global broking placement system (GBS). She then transferred to the Atlanta office where she became the Broking Center's Professional Standards Officer.

In 1998 She move to the Marsh Cincinnati office and worked in the technology area as a Subject matter Expert which included training and negotiations with the senior management of Insurance companies on Middle Market issues. She was promoted to Senior Vice President.

In 2001 she became the National Coverage Resource for  Middle Market Departments country-wide.  She worked on new standardized specifications and exposure worksheets and was the lead in building the next generation Client Management System. In 2005 she participated in setting up a Surplus Lines ToolKit and training in its use.

In 2007 she moved to Policy Management  where she created the Coverage Analysis Group  (CAG),   reorganized the Policy Management Database and worked with London to web enable it. One of her major projects was to develop the Coverage Analysis Comparison tool which allowed the brokers to compare policy forms using a checklist  but also create Concurrency Checklists, comparing the primary and excess Casualty coverage. The tool highlighted the differences between the terms and conditions by carrier, provided Coaching Notes for individual coverage items, and incorporated Best Practices.

Pat has course study at both Thomas More College and the University of Cincinnati. She received her CPCU in 1985. She was the President of the Cincinnati CPCU Chapter in 1992.
